As we kick off the new year, it’s natural to feel excited and motivated to set and accomplish new goals.

But let’s be honest, we’ve all made New Year resolutions in the past that have fizzled out by February. Research shows that most of us fail to follow our New Year plans.

According to a YouGov poll conducted on 16–21 December 2022, the top six New-Year resolutions set by Americans for 2023 are:

  1. Improvement of physical health (20%)
  2. Saving more money (20%)
  3. Exercising more (19%)
  4. Eating healthier (18%).
  5. Being happier (17%)
  6. Losing weight (17%)
